Twisted Ribbon, an advocate for the
impartial protections of human rights movement in all areas in
Australia and worldwide.
Becoming
part of a worldwide movement, a strong network of people to speak out
with the intention of change for the better is imperative.
Our
strength, self esteem, self worth is taken away from us when living
under destructive circumstances. However, we all have the power within
us and have the ability and capacity to work together for change where
needed.
Women around the globe face serious
human rights violations - in their home, in war and in their
communities. At least one in three women have experienced physical or
sexual violence in Australia alone.
These acts
of violence are rarely prosecuted.
You can be
involved to stop this - Activism - a global campaign that sees
collective action to Stop Violence Against Women starting on White
Ribbon Day, 25 November.
Become as a
supporter to help continue and expand public awareness campaigning.
All funds
raised by selling ribbons go to the White Ribbon Foundation which aims
to fund innovative programs to engage men in ending violence against
women.
