Palate:
The refined rancio
characters are enhanced by rich chocolate, coffee and sweet almond
flavours. Creamy and smooth, concentrated fruit characters finish long
and flavoursome.
Recommended Cuisine:
The perfect
finish to a meal. A great complement to good vintage tasty cheese or
rich stilton. For a little decadence try it with a block of dark
chocolate.
Winemaker’s Comments:
A fine
example of a Tawny Port, De Bortoli 8 Year Old Port is aged in small and
large oak vats and casks. Sourced from the company’s substantial port
stocks, the wine is blended to an average age of 8 years".
